Ark Royal Venue

I recently had my wedding at this venue during the end of December 2023 and there were numerous issues. They did not provide the decorations that was paid for. There was NO walkway at all and the stage was missing some decorations that was supposed to be on the stage. This was extremely disappointing. There was a lack of communication on the day and no senior staff or any staff for that matter could be located. It was a complete waste of money. Also the vendors were placed within a room which none of the guests could originally access. I had tried contacting the venue to discuss, especially as we had paid for certain things but they have not responded back. Please avoid this venue and save your money. As a bride, it was an extremely stressful experience and you are better off with any other venue.

The venue is in a great location, right in the middle of a retail park. It's got great locations nearby such as the ODEON Cinema branch and a Costa Coffee. The venue itself is small and cozy, perfect for small gatherings and parties with a low head count. You can have weddings here but bear in mind the amount of space you can have as it is quite limited. Compared to most other venues it does lack a bit in terms of its space but with how much more affordable it is, it could be the bargain you're looking for. Its appearance isn't as appealing as its interior. From the outside the venue looks unassuming and uninspiring. There are 2 double-door entry ways which don't fit many people at once which can prove to be a challenge in trying to get people in. Apart from that, there is a large outdoor patio area which is surprisingly nice, lined with wooden planks along the floor, nice benches and hanging chairs. There looks to what used to be a bar but it seems it is no longer in use. Other than that, Ark Royal Venue is a decently priced venue that offers the necessities, sacrificing some things.

Went to my neice's wedding on Wednesday 25th October 2023 & was surprised at how good the place is. Atmosphere was welcoming & clean. Food was great, however wish there were more variety and different range of food including seafood etc, which was a shame, they didn't do. Also, not enough toilets as there were only 2 and should have been regularly cleaned as they're was constantly smelling of piss. Also needs to have more toilet rolls. But the surrounding area is good nonetheless and very spaceous. Good cinema, car park & bus stop nearby.

I had my wedding here a few months ago. Not one regret to report. Highly recommend. Very spacious, 2 rooms for larger or smaller events, plenty of parking, great sound and light quality. Management (especially Zaf) were the best, helping us with all hall associated preparations right up until the actual day. Management also did an amazing job with the decorations and smoke machine.

First time I went there . It's a purpose built function hall . Authority told me they can accommodate 600 people easily . For me 500 will be perfect . Prayer facility for man and woman was clean and tidy. Also toilets are clean and modern .. I visited food distribution are which was also clean . Huge car park share by other business organaisations customers . Groom area was separate . So you will have your privacy . It takes 45 minutes journey time from Mile end , east London . As usual we face traffic jam at 406 motorway . Allways keep extra time if you start your journey from East London via A12 - 406 .

Great place to have an occasional wedding to party can accommodate large number of persons roughly 11 to a table with ease ..set with a two tier floor ..toilets upstairs..kitchen area able to deliver food and drinks easily across the floor..air conditioning throughout the areas of seating ...on the far end away from the stage we have a four TV screen to view the events going on so no-one is left out ...outside there is a further two rooms for having a few extra added sweetness for starters ...tea served by the outside seating area which is quite and lit by rows of lighting .Great experience here for the first time ..the carpark opposite as ample space for over 100 cars ..so no problem there for guests.
